Ezra Pound / Doria

Δωρια *

Sé en mí como el humor eterno
del viento crudo, y no
como las cosas transitorias-
alharaca de flores.
Tenme en la fuerte soledad
de acantilados sin sol
y de aguas grises.
Deja que los dioses hablen
suavemente de nosotros
en días que vendrán,
las sombrías flores del Orco
te recuerden.

* En griego en el original; "Doria"

Ezra Pound (Hailey, 1885- Venecia, 1972), Personae: The Shorter Poems of Ezra Pound (1926), New Directions, Nueva York, 1990
Versión de J. Aulicino

Δωρια
Be in me as the eternal moods /of the bleak wind, and not/ As transient things are—/gaiety of flowers. /Have me in the strong loneliness/ Of sunless cliffs /And of gray waters./ Let the gods speak softly of us /In days hereafter,/the shadowy flowers of Orcus /Remember thee.
